Shop&Drive and Shop&Bike Mechanics Participate in the First Stage of Gotong Royong Vaccination

JAKARTA (20/5): PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (Astra Otoparts) is one of the companies participating in the implementation of the first phase of Mutual Cooperation Vaccination for employees, including its automotive retail mechanics, namely Shop & Drive and Shop & Bike.

This first stage of Gotong Royong Vaccination is a collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the government through the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and was attended by 18 companies. This vaccination was also attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. Astra Otoparts conducts this first phase of vaccination at the head office in an orderly manner while adhering to health protocols. This first phase of vaccination will take place from 18-22 May 2021.

"We are very pleased to be able to support the government in accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination program, especially for our employees. Not only to protect our employees, but also their families, consumers and the wider community in general. We hope that this program can accelerate the formation of group immunity in order to break the Covid-19 chain and restore the Indonesian economy, "said David Anthonius, Retail Division Head of Astra Otoparts.

“Participation in this Mutual Cooperation Vaccination activity is primarily our effort to improve the convenience of Shop & Drive and Shop & Bike consumers. Consumers can feel safer and more comfortable when servicing directly at our outlets because mechanics have been vaccinated, "added David.

It is undeniable that the Covid-19 pandemic has also changed some of the routines that can usually be done comfortably outside the home, one of which is caring for vehicles in a favorite repair shop. Many consumers have ended up neglecting to take care of their cars or motorbikes for a while during the pandemic because of concerns about going outside the home.

This Covid-19 vaccination is the best hope for reducing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus, so that people can be more comfortable and safe doing activities outside the home, including when taking care of their vehicles directly at Shop & Drive and Shop & Bike outlets.

However, in accordance with the appeal that vaccines cannot guarantee that we are completely free from the Covid-19 virus, health protocols must be carried out whenever and wherever to avoid the dangers of the Covid-19 virus.

"Likewise at our automotive retail outlets, of course we will still apply the applicable health protocol even though mechanics have been vaccinated," he continued.
