As one of the Astra Otoparts Group companies, PT GS Battery (GS Battery) continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability through the adoption of renewable energy across its operations. One of the Company's key initiatives is the installation of solar panels at its Karawang Plant and Semarang Plant, aimed at improving energy efficiency while supporting the transition toward more environmentally responsible operations.
At the Karawang Plant, GS Battery collaborated with EMITS on a 3.6 MWp solar panel project, which was successfully re-energized in June 2026. Meanwhile, at the Semarang Plant, the Company partnered with EPN on a 1.27 MWp solar panel project that was re-energized in May 2026. These projects represent significant milestones in expanding the use of clean energy across the Company's operational facilities.
Through the implementation of solar panels, GS Battery seeks to improve energy efficiency while reducing carbon emissions as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability.
