PT AstraComponent Indonesia (ASKI) succeeded in winning the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024. This award was given directly by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, M.Sc., to the Director of ASKI, Henry Setiawan, at the Indonesia 4.0 Conference and Expo, Regional Cloud and Datacenter Congress 2024 at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta on Wednesday (21/02).
This activity is a government program in the industrial revolution 4.0 and digital transformation which has now become a necessity in almost all industrial lines. The Ministry of Industry continues to provide support, education and coaching for industrial entrepreneurs so that they can increase the number of industrial companies that receive the title of Indonesia Lighthouse Industry 4.0.
ASKI really appreciates this award because the implementation of industrial transformation 4.0 has brought many changes to various activities within the company, especially efforts to adapt ASKI's internal digital technology. Accelerating digital transformation is also one of the strategies to increase ASKI's productivity and competitiveness to become more sustainable, flexible and efficient and has been proven to achieve positive impacts on finances, operations and automation.
Quoting the official website of the Ministry of Industry, the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 selection will be carried out from mid-2023 to January 2024, which consists of several stages such as evaluation, assessment and determination. This stage involves various representatives from the government, universities or academics, associations, technology providers, and companies that have previously been designated as Industry 4.0 Lighthouses.
At the awarding of this award, the Minister of Industry accompanied by the Head of BSKJI (Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency) handed over Lighthouse Industry 4.0 charters and certificates to 15 companies that had taken part in all the selection stages and were designated as National Lighthouse Industry 4.0.
The 15 companies are PT AstraComponent Indonesia, PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (Plant 3: Engine Plant), PT Tirta Investama (Plant Pandaan and Banyuwangi), PT Gelora Djaja, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, PT Semen Tonasa, PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk, PT Pancaprima Ekabrothers, PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (Factory Kudus), and PT Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia .
"These companies deserve to be role models for industry players in their respective sectors, and can become dialogue partners for the government in implementing Industry 4.0 in Indonesia. We must continue to encourage enthusiasm, and must not be complacent. "Because if we compare it with the achievements of 153 Global Lighthouse Network industrial companies, then the achievements achieved by domestic industries are quite good," concluded the Minister of Industry.
