In order to support the realization of Astra Green Company (AGC) and Astra Friendly Company (AFC) as well as implement Catur Dharma Astra, namely becoming property that is beneficial to the Nation and the State, CSR Group Astra Otoparts (AOP) Jakarta regional consisting of PT Astra Otoparts Tbk, PT Astra Otoparts Nusametal Division, PT SKF Indonesia, PT Inti Ganda Perdana, PT Gemala Kempa Daya, PT Akebono Brake Astra Manufacturing Indonesia, and PT DIC Astra Chemicals inaugurated Kampung Berseri Astra (KBA) RW 02 which was held on Monday, 18 July 2022 at RW 02 Pegangsaan Dua Secretariat Office, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
The inauguration was attended by Head of Kelapa Gading Darmawan Sub-District, Pegangsaan Dua Village Head Vera Fitria, Head of RW 02 Aji Ernas, Head and Department Head of PT Astra Otoparts Tbk SESR Agung Tri Prabowo, Head of the Kelapa Gading Marinov Sub-District Environmental Implementation Unit, and the AOP Group CSR person in charge Jakarta area. In this activity, a symbolic handover of baby scales and the inauguration of the Garbage Bank was carried out between the Jakarta regional AOP Group and Kelapa Gading Sub-District Head and also with the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service.
Kampung Berseri Astra is Astra's Sustainable Social Contribution program implemented to the community with a development concept that integrates the 4 pillars of the program namely Education, Entrepreneurship, Environment and Health. Through the Astra Berseri Village program, communities and companies can collaborate to jointly create a clean, healthy, smart and productive area so as to improve the quality of life for people in the Astra Berseri Village area. There are 5 categories of KBA, namely: Tourism Village, Green Village, Productive Village, Cyber Village, and Cultural Village.
Kampung Berseri Astra RW 02 Kelapa Gading is included in the Productive Village category, namely the concept of an independent village that is able to become a learning center and meet its own needs through productive activities and improve the quality of life in the fields of education, environment, health and economic empowerment.
In this activity, it was not only the inauguration of KBA RW 02, but also a review of the superior Garbage Bank program which has more or less helped the economy of the community in RW 02 Pegangsaan Dua, through this program plastic, paper and metal waste can be converted into money that can be used by community to help meet their needs. Apart from that, this activity also held a blood donor which was attended by the local community and employees of the Astra Otoparts Group.
"The existence of the Garbage Bank Program also invites the active role of the community in efforts to manage household waste so that they can generate economic value to supplement their income. It is hoped that in the future the community will be able to understand more about the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle in the utilization of waste in the surroundings so as to create a better environment." said PT Astra Otoparts Tbk SESR Department Head Agung Tri Prabowo.
