Astra Otoparts Books an Increase in Net Income of IDR 11.041 Trillion in the First Nine Months of 2021

PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (“the Company” or “Astra Otoparts”) during the first nine months of 2021 posted a consolidated net income of Rp 11.041 trillion. The increase in net income was due to an increase in revenue from both the manufacturing and trading business segments which contributed 49% and 51% respectively to the Company's total consolidated net income.

Although the current macroeconomic situation is still uncertain as a result of the pandemic, the Company was able to demonstrate a positive performance by implementing operational excellence by placing a focus on operational control and management of working capital and liquidity, as well as re-investing selectively for new products and diversifying non-productive products. automotive. As of September 30, 2021, the Company posted a consolidated net profit of Rp 446 billion compared to a net loss of Rp 243 billion in the same period last year. In addition, the Company's balance sheet remains strong with a healthy and stable Debt to Equity Ratio.

Manufacturing Business Segment
In the manufacturing business segment, the Company produces components and series (assemblies) with international standards and partners with various world-class spare parts to be marketed to the automotive manufacturer market (OEM/Original Equipment Manufacturer) and replacement parts market (REM/Replacement Market), both for two-wheeled, four-wheeled, and commercial vehicles. In the first nine months of 2021, the total manufacturing business contributed 49% of the Company's total net income, with total sales of Rp 5.429 trillion, an increase of 44% from the same period last year.

Trading Business Segment
The Company has an extensive domestic distribution network for the replacement parts market, covering 49 main dealers and 24 sales offices serving 12,000 spare parts stores throughout Indonesia. In the export market, the Company serves more than 40 countries in Africa, America, Asia, Oceania, Europe and the Middle East. The Company also has a modern retail trade network under the name Shop&Drive with a total of 372 outlets, periodic maintenance workshops specifically for 4-wheeled vehicles serving all brands in Indonesia, namely Astra Otoservice, as well as an online trading platform www.astraotoshop.com. The trading business segment contributed 51% of the Company's total net income, with total revenue for the first nine months of 2021 amounting to Rp 5.612 trillion, an increase of 15%.

Corporate Actions of the Company and others
In 2021 the Company again launched innovative wearable and medical products, namely the Grin Smile electric mask, Air Purifier Frezair, and bicycle accessories such as the Grin Miles bicycle helmet and speedometer. The Company also produces non-automotive products for the industrial and heavy equipment segments, including industrial batteries, industrial chains and components for heavy equipment.

The Company also won several awards in the first nine months of 2021 for Aspira, GS Astra and Shop&Drive. In addition, the Company also won the Best Right of Shareholders award at the 2021 Corporate Governance Award and the 2021 Indonesia Top Companies Awards.
