JAKARTA – PT Astra Otoparts Tbk ("Astra Otoparts" or "the Company") has received the ESG Award from the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI) in the Capital Market sector, under the category of Best Listed Company, on Thursday (July 31). This award recognizes publicly listed companies that demonstrate outstanding performance in implementing sustainability principles and are included in ESG indices jointly managed by KEHATI and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Astra Otoparts has been part of the Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI)-KEHATI Index since December 2020, one of the seven thematic ESG indices developed by KEHATI and IDX. The index assesses not only financial performance but also how companies contribute to the environment and society, while maintaining good corporate governance based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles sustainably.

As part of its long-term strategy, Astra Otoparts integrates ESG principles into its operations. On the environmental front, the Company has established the "Astra Otoparts 2030 Sustainability Aspirations," which target a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from a 2019 baseline, and a long-term commitment to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050.
To support this, Astra Otoparts has launched various initiatives, including energy efficiency through compressed air system optimization, transition to energy-saving equipment, electrification of forklifts and production machines, solar panel installation, use of biofuel, procurement of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and implementation of the Astra Green Energy (AGEn) system—a management framework that ensures continuous energy performance improvements using a PDCA cycle.
Water management follows a comprehensive reduce–reuse–recycle approach, including rainwater harvesting. In waste management, the Company implements a circular economy system for metal and battery products.
On the social front, Astra Otoparts runs corporate social responsibility programs through four key pillars: Astra for a Healthy Indonesia, Astra for a Smart Indonesia, Astra for a Green Indonesia, and Astra for a Creative Indonesia. These programs focus on strengthening community health posts and stunting prevention, industrial vocational education, mentoring for Adiwiyata schools, mangrove conservation in coastal areas, training and support for MSMEs, and the development of Kampung Berseri Astra into Climate Village Programs (ProKlim), a national initiative launched by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia to enhance local climate adaptation and GHG mitigation efforts.
Astra Otoparts also contributes to biodiversity conservation through its Javan Gibbon (Owa Jawa) conservation program in the Sanggabuana Mountain Range, Karawang. All initiatives are designed based on participatory approaches and tailored to local community needs.
In terms of corporate governance, Astra Otoparts consistently upholds the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) across five pillars: transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness. There were no code of conduct violations in 2024, supported by strict anti-fraud and anti-corruption policies. The Company has also adopted digital and artificial intelligence technologies to enhance internal control and risk management systems.
