TANGERANG: As it celebrates its 50th anniversary, PT Astra Otoparts Tbk ("Astra Otoparts") continues to introduce initiatives that address the evolving needs of society. In line with the spirit of Leap to Lead, Astra Otoparts, through its Aspira brand, held a live demonstration of the Aspira Cabin Filter on July 31, 2026, at the Astra Otoparts booths in Pre Function Hall 3 and Pre Function Hall 10 during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026.
Through this initiative, Astra Otoparts aims to raise public awareness that vehicle maintenance should focus not only on vehicle performance but also on in-vehicle air quality, which affects comfort and well-being while driving.
Amid high mobility, in-vehicle air quality often receives limited attention. Dust, pollution, and fine particles from outside can enter the cabin through the ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Therefore, maintaining the condition of the cabin filter is one simple measure that can help maintain air quality inside the vehicle.
"When maintaining their vehicles, people generally pay more attention to oil changes, brakes, tires, and batteries. However, the cabin filter is also a component that needs to be inspected and replaced regularly. Through this live demonstration, we want to educate the public that regular inspection and replacement of cabin filters are equally important aspects of vehicle maintenance in supporting a comfortable driving experience," said Martogi Siahaan, Director of Astra Otoparts.
Through the demonstration, visitors could see firsthand how the cabin filter helps filter dust, pollution, and fine particles before air enters the vehicle cabin. Visitors could also compare air quality before and after passing through the Aspira Cabin Filter using testing equipment displayed at the booth. This enabled visitors to better understand the importance of regularly inspecting and replacing cabin filters as part of comprehensive vehicle maintenance.
The Aspira Cabin Filter uses a quality filter medium designed to deliver optimal filtration performance. In addition to being easy to install and producing no noise during use, the Aspira Cabin Filter is available for various vehicle types and models, including electric vehicles, in line with developments in the automotive industry and evolving mobility needs.
As part of regular vehicle maintenance, cabin filters are recommended to be inspected during vehicle servicing or replaced at 20,000 kilometers, depending on vehicle usage conditions. Regular replacement can help maintain in-vehicle air quality, contributing to a more comfortable journey for both drivers and passengers.
Through its various innovations and initiatives, Astra Otoparts remains committed to creating added value for society while raising awareness of the importance of comprehensive vehicle maintenance. This commitment forms part of Astra Otoparts' efforts to remain a trusted partner accompanying the journeys of Indonesians.
