A total of 180 participants joined in various Yamaha Bandung motorcycle communities followed the city touring event held by Pirelli and Bahana as one of Pirelli's biggest customers in Bandung, on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Released by the Director of PT Bahana Cahaya Sejati (Bahana) Tio Januar Sandjaja accompanied by PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) Area Marketing Development Fitri Agustadhi, city touring participants from several motorcycle communities in Bandung as well as Marketing Manager Pirelli Tires SpA Asia Pacific Flavia Maffeis and PT Evoluzione Tires (Evoty) Market Quality Evan Ardiansyah tested Pirelli tire quality with a track as far as approximately 170 KM, crossed the asphalt tracks with contours of straight, winding, incline, and derivative roads from Bandung, to Evoty in Subang, until ending in Cikole, Lembang .
Exactly at 11.00 WIB, city touring participants arrived at Evoty by being welcomed by President Director Evoty Marco Elli and Operational Director Francesco De Manuele. Entering the next agenda, namely a factory visit, guided by the Head of Quality Evoty Kuntarso, participants were invited to see the manufacture of superior Pirelli tire products one by one, including Angel CT which is specifically designed to follow the natural conditions and character of drivers in Indonesia, Angel Scooter that puts forward comfortable performance. and Diablo Rosso Scooter for sporty performance.
A long trip by using a motorcycle does not rule out the possibility of being prone to accidents, whether caused by yourself or conditions on the road. Aware of the importance of this, the opportunity for the inaugural city touring was also utilized by Pirelli and Bahana to educate the participants on the importance of the vehicles used, the ability to drive as well as the use of driving clothing at Pirelli tire manufacturers in Evoty, Subang.
Collaborating with Satlantas Polrestabes Bandung, participants were given an explanation of knowledge about safety riding, city touring participants took turns trying out the specially prepared track before resuming the journey to Cikole, Lembang.
One participant expressed satisfaction with the city touring held by Pirelli and Bahana. "City touring this time was very impressive for me, as participants as well as being able to get to know other Yamaha communities, also being educated with safety riding and direct visits to Pirelli tire factories," explained Johan who participated in the visit upon arrival in Cikole, Lembang.
