Entering the MotoGP Event, Aspira “Upgrades” with Gresini

JAKARTA: PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (Astra Otoparts) through one of its brands ASPIRA, is back to sponsor the Gresini Racing team in the upcoming 2022 season. After almost a decade of Aspira supporting the Gresini Racing team in the Moto2 event, in the upcoming 2022 season Aspira will "step up" with the Gresini Racing team to the MotoGP class in the Flex-Box Gresini MotoGP team.

Aspira's long journey since 2012 with the Gresini Racing team in the world of international motorcycle racing has resulted in various successes from both parties. Several riders have come to fill the racer seats in this team and also feel the sweetness of the victory podium. Although in the 2020 season many events cannot be held due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this is not a barrier.

In the Flex-Box Gresinidi team for the 2022 MotoGP season, Aspira as one of Astra Otoparts' two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicle parts brands will appear on Enea Bastianini and Fabio Di Giannantonio's mounts. Not only on the mounts, the Aspira logo will also appear on the racer uniforms, crew uniforms, even on the Gresini MotoGP team truck.

“It is an honor for us, Astra Otoparts, who still has the trust to continue to be able to partner with Gresini. Even this time in a more prestigious class, namely MotoGP. Of course this brings enthusiasm to all of us, and of course also to our loyal customers,” said Yusak Kristian, Director of Astra Otoparts. This is in line with the high enthusiasm of the Indonesian people in international motorcycle racing events, especially in the MotoGP class.

The birth of the Flex-Box Gresini MotoGP team began with Fausto Gresini's desire to return to the MotoGP class as an independent team, supported by Aspira. "With two talented young drivers and a wealth of experience Gresini Racing has, of course, next season will be something interesting to look forward to," continued Yusak.

Carlo Merlini as Commercial & Marketing Director of Gresini Racing expressed his joy at this partnership. “I was very happy when Aspira decided to come together to face the MotoGP class. Loyalty, spirit of partnership, and cooperation are the keys to the success of our partnership during these nine years,” said Carlo.
